Grimstonefire:
So who bought this book or are going to try and track it down (as sold out already from webstores)?
I’m going to hunt it down somewhere.
I’ll pick up the model as well.

JMR:
I find all of the End Times pretty interesting and I’m looking forward to fielding a combined Chaos force, like I used to in 5th edition. I’m not buying anything though, it’s all just too expensive, as always.
Doombeard:
I purchased the web exclusive book + Glotkin deal. I also went for the Maggoth Lord which leads the Demons (Demonspew?) and hope to start up a unified army. Agreed it is expensive, but for what you get I don’t think its so bad, and hopefully these purchases will give me years of play and satisfaction. I also wanted to get behind it and show a bit of support for the End Times/ GW financially as I like what they are doing for once. GW have rekindled my love for fantasy over the last few years, I think the Mortis Engine, Terrorgheist/Zombie Dragon, Nagash/Arkhan and the new Glotkin range are probably the most impressive fantasy models I’ve seen GW make and I finally caved in, can’t wait to see what else is coming up with Famine and War
Edit* WHITE DWARF SPOILERS!!
Just read the bat rep in the new White Dwarf, digital download version. Its very poorly written all squeezed into one or two pages, no maps and every time they mention a unit they call it by fictional name instead of actual unit, so you have no idea who the Crimson Marauders are and why they are getting flanked by the Repugnants or who they are… It also seems to spoil massive story points by writing them in italics before the event is mentioned in the main narrative. No wide angle shots of the battlefield only tight close ups. The Nagash one wasn’t worth the paper it was printed on either. It isn’t really worth the £2.50 more like £1. Doesn’t tell you much except for Karl Franz Ascended can basically come back from the dead after Karl Franz is killed but can only do this once and he is ultra badass (Takes out Glotkin in the end albeit a wounded Glotkin at the end of the battle) . Vlad von Carstein & the Brettonians are allied with the Empire yep thats right VC allied with Empire! The new City fighting rules seem to consist of smashing up houses/scenery thats in your way, and shooting out of buildings from hidden units. Chaos Sorcerors can summon Demons in the same way Nagash can summon Undead. I wonder if the hard copy of WD contains a more thorough longer bat rep with maps etc or if all edition are the same? Such a shame how far White Dwarf has fallen, such meagre standards
Admiral:
I guess this would be like hoping for gold raining from the skies, but would it make business sense for GW to have all four End Times book available in a bundle that’s cheaper than buying them separately? Once they’re all released and some time has passed after the fourth book, of course. At the moment I’d willing to wait for that.
Bitterman:
all four End Times book available in a bundleAlmost certain to happen.
Admiral
that's cheaper than buying them separately?Ah...
Bloodbeard:
... that's cheaper than buying them separately?GW has yet to release a bundle where the buyers saves anything but mouse clicks.

I think they did do that, back in the mists of time known as the 90s when they actually cared about their customers.... that's cheaper than buying them separately?GW has yet to release a bundle where the buyers saves anything but mouse clicks.

Well, you never know. Other companies do release relatively cheaper bundles, so there are no laws of physics holding Games Workshop back. Not that one should count on it to happen.
Besides, didn’t you “save” dozens or even hundreds of pounds if you bought that funky whole-Space Marine-Chapter deal rather than buying all the stuff separately? I think it cost £8,000 or something like that.
Just thinking of the total cost for buying all four End Times books made it look like a wise move to have them released as a slightly cheaper bundle once all the news hype has passed.

Admiral:
Yep, that’s the one.
Haha, that’s an unprecedented saving on buying from GW! I guess this is the exception that confirms the rule, though.
As for the End Times, my current study economy don’t allow for the books. But boy are we eager to get them in the hobby group. We’re not interested in digital versions, only hardbacks.
cornixt:
The easiest way to save money on GW stuff is to buy it from someone other than GW. I know several stores that will give you 20% off the list price of anything GW, no money down until it is your hands if they have to order it.
Grimstonefire:
I read somewhere that boxed sets usually have money to be saved, but we store deals you won’t save anything. The way gw works every department is effectively competing against each other, so web guys can’t create deals that compete by being cheaper.
Only main marketing guys can put together boxed deals.
Wolf :
I have purchased the Nagash book and will be purchasing the Glotkin book.
Regardless of the new rules etc, the fluff is really good and I’m fully enjoying the read.
My only concern is the rules released in WD mention a combined force of Daemons of Chaos, Warriors of Chaos and Beastmen, no mention of the legion of Azgorh. I really hope FW release a FAQ detailing that Legion of Azgorh can be combined.
Otherwise the Blightkings and Spume I’ve purchased is not going to get allot of table time until I get enough models to field an army.
It still wont stop me getting all of the EoT books though.

Kinda off topic,
However, if you read the introduction of ET:Nagash, under the Ogres & Dwarfs’ chapters, they say something about an "encroachin murk over the Dark Lands, a rising tide of gloom broken only by meteoric streaks of sickly green that blazed downwards from the cursed moon."
This could mean only two things for me: either Chaos Dwarf will be facing extinction, or the cloud of darkness is of our making. In either case we will be mentioned in one of the books… I mean, even Zombie Pirates received some love, so why shouldn’t we?
EDIT: has anyone got Glottkin’s book yet? Is anything said about the Dark Lands?
Bloodbeard:
Wolf is reading it at the moment and will post any CD references.

A friend of mine went to get Glotkin at the local GW store today, was the 6th person in the queue when the store opened at 11am. Sadly the only had 5 ex. Somebody at GW must have missed a zero or two when calculating the numer och books requested from the printers…
Grimstonefire:
No luck for me either. First time I’ve ever queued to get into a shop.
The story goes that the stores had to order their copies of glotkin before nagash came out. Nagash was expected to be as popular as tau codex. Turns out nagash was the best selling warhammer book ever. Possibly even best selling gw book.
Now they are panicking at the printers to get soft copies out asap.
All sold out within 10 mins in every store for many miles around me.
Malorndk:
The End Times is like the Warhammer franchise’s own boyband! <3 I LOVE IT!
ThorAxe:
Mildly disappointed in this book. Reads like a (to me) not as good version of the Tamurkhan story. All focus on the nurgle champion, less emphasis on the empire and their internal struggles with the lack of emperor, Vlad becoming an elector count, and the loss of major empire cities (not altdorf).
Chaos Dwarfs do get a mention. One of the regiments at Talabheim is noted for, in addition to helping stop WAAGHs and skaven invasions, fight off the “magma beasts of the Chaos dwarf sorcerer Korakagrakk” → k’daii, yes?
