Difficult decision indeed. I went for theme first this time, but even then it was a tough call.
One thing is clear: The entrants will have very good additions to their collections thanks to their entries. Great stuff.

This might be one of the best batch of entries in quite awhile for a GH…lots of superb models. Some show top notch painting, some are incredibly cool conversions and others really capture the theme of the End Times.
As always, one is my outright favorite…I love scratch built conversions. My second vote will go to the best ‘theme’ model, and final vote will be for painting.

Regarding theme:
I find no fault with most (except 2) of the models in such a wide theme (cited the examples given in the starter thread down) and would even give them the benefit of doubt.
I think there may come GHs with a tighter defined theme, but this one was imho one rather free one, so I put painting and building first and neglected theme in my votes.

@DAGabriel: There will definitely be more limited themes to come for future contests (next GH will have a simple, narrow theme familiar to any veteran members on CDO), but we want to keep it pretty open with the End Times run, since we believe the participants deserve that kind of freedom to roam wild on their workbench and craft what they regard as suitable for ET. We could have launched one contest for Korakagrakk or Special Characters in general, and another for people’s take on new CD ET units, but it wasn’t really necessary and would have prolonged the End Times run a great deal.
