This makes me sick. Back in the 8th edition we had an official army list that not only allowed us to field our classic minis, but also gave us more troop types and a few lines of background. Forgeworld did a good job there.
Now, in the AoS, not only a huge portion of our models are not official anymore (hobgobs, lammasu, taurus, destroyer), but FW refuses to give us any chance to field them again. I mean, would it have killed them to give us grot and orruk allies? And the option for fielding mounted heroes? Meh.
That being said, I love what GW is doing with the game, and I believe that a force of Evil Duardin is not too far fetched a possibility. Looking at you Zharr Vyxa dwarfs!
GW has been dead to me for decades, your mileage may vary.
I’ve said it for years: People need to make the hurdle over the fact that their preferred edition is not current. Take me:my preferred version is 3rd which hasn’t been the current version since 1992. Its always puzzled me that people just don’t get a group of like minded individuals to play their preferred versions. Its not like the rule-books stopped working once newer versions came out.
Point I’m making is the hobby is what you make it.
