[Archive] Gyokurinti Stats?

Naagruz:

Out of curiosity, does anyone have the statline for Gyokurinti?

It’s really old stuff, but I’m looking at updating the original model & would love to know more about the character.:hat off

Da Crusha:

I just looked him up. this is what it says in Stuff of legends:

This piece was produced to go with the Book of Battalions in the second edition of Warhammer. Gyokurinti was the leader of the Hobgoblins.

The front of the solid base says Gyokurinti.

Strictly speaking it isn’t a limited edition, as it was released in the c36 set.

pretty interesting. does anybody know anything else about him?

Admiral:

I had not heard of him until now. Though I prefer the 5th edition look of Hobgoblins, Gyokurinti the Strangler had a good model except for that a tail behind his back: http://www.solegends.com/citle/citle1980/legyokurinti.htm

Here we have some other orange Hobgoblins. Thankfully they lack tails, meaning it must be a mutation on Gyokurinti: Aly Morrison Hobgoblins

Naagruz:

From what I do know, he lead a Chaos Warband & basically was a Hobgoblin Champion of Chaos, back when that was actually possible.

He’s definitely one of the more characterful & obscure minis from the C36 era.

Zanko:

The tail of that Hobgoblin doesn’t convince me! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Despite this “detail” … is that model quite good looking! :cheers
