From the Bad Dice Forums: My pledge for march - and the backbone of my army - a solid unit of Infernal Guard
Not pictured is my “little drummer dwarf” of a musician - who arrived in the mail yesterday.
Hopefully I will have the time to start painting my Kadaii as well, although he needs some funky basing to cover that football field of a 100x150 base;)
Zuh-Khinie:
It's a Chronopia Soulflayer if I'm correct... Really cool model.

Soulassassin:
Fanfare please!:hat off to Zuh-Khinie. It is indeed an old Chronopia model, love (some of) that range.
DAGabriel:
Looks interesting, wanna see it painted! Great idea.
How big is it?
Soulassassin:
I would say it is about 7 cm tall (I haven`t attached the wings yet)
Should probably done a size comparison shot, but I could not find my fleeing Empire Citizen
DAGabriel:
Should probably done a size comparison shot, but I could not find my fleeing Empire Citizen :)If he was nimble enough he probably is gone, if not he got eaten?

Abecedar:
nice figure, I gained have a bit of a liking for seeing the old stuff from chronopia
Soulassassin:
My pledge for March finished - infernal guard with great weapons, full command and retro-shields! The water transfers I found in a drawer at home, had not seen daylight in about 15 years. Worked like a charm still

BABIS:
incredibly nice! I love them!
Yodrin:
Unit looks really nice!!!

Well done! They looks nice!
Soulassassin:
Thanks guys! So glad to see you like it, posting on this forum really gets my motivation going :hat off If you see something that needs a fixin`, please tell me!
I have a ton of WOC-stuff to paint the for a tournament the coming month, and there is a danger that real life might get in the way of hobby. Hope to start painting my Kadaii or maybe sorcerer prophet though.
sheogorath:
very nice! I like the dark, almost monochrome look. Similar to what I’m going for with my guys, dark colors and suchlike.
Soulassassin:
@sheogorath Thanks! I went for a pretty simple color scheme, in order to make the old big hats look a bit different than in the colorful 90s:)
Danger is that the models can look to dull, but i hope that some sharp highlights and the orange contranst color make them stand out.

----> Question for you guys: Have you got any good tips for directional lighting effect painting when it comes to lava? Red glowin and such?
Soulassassin:
Ahh… spring. It just says “lots of time for painting” doesn`t it?
I am preparing for a tournament these days, and painting WOC like a madman (quite fitting, when you think of it) So this months pledge will be a smaller one:
Pledgde for April in the Bad Dice Hobby Challenge:
My Sorcerer Prophet, nice and simple, just with some hight added to the base. Did not want to mess around too much with the model, such a classic
What I will try to do though, if I get the time, is to do some Object Source Lighting on the guy. Any tips?
PS: pictures of my WOC can for the moment only be found on a Norwegian Forum, but ignoring the obvious language barrier, there are some shiny pictures

Have a nice weekend guys!

Hvilken turnering skal du på?
Ur WOC army looks awesome!
Fuggit Khan:
I love the glowing runes effect you made on the Deathshrieker rocket…what a great idea. Very nicely done and gives a nice Daemonsmith look to the theme. I hope you don’t mind if I borrow (steal?) your idea for some projects I’m working on.
