if your like me, when you choose your army you never discount anything, not even death rockets, ( ok discount goblins )
because we dont have cheap flyers do you think its a good idea to employ 1 or 2 hobgoblin heroes to ran about on there own? last few games ive played ive played so many flyers, and even worse skittleleaping shamans that get in the way.
my charcter’s ive chosen to lead is
wizard lord
level 4
2 power stones
2 dispel scrolls
wizard
level 2
2 dispel scrolls
hobgoblin hero
wolf
heavy armor
sword of might
gauntlets of gnar
shield
hobgoblin hero
wolf
heavy armor
sword of battle
enchanted shield
now ive used it once and i trashed an empire player, but im not sure i should use this list. i took out my taurus i was sick of him getting killed every game.
Do you use " Hoboblin Rockets?! " :h
ps is it cheese?

I dont think it is cheese it is just two heros on mounts after all, but it is very effective especially against cheesy enemies.If your sorc is shadow then you can really rocket your hobbos about .:hat
4 dispel scrolls are cheesier:P

I often find that if I take three or more dispel scrolls I don’t end up using them. But then, I rarely play against magic-heavy armies. As for hobgoblin hero rockets, I think it’s a fine idea. It’s too bad that we can’t take some of the O&G magic items, like the talisman that makes the hero blow up - I’m all for expendable hobgoblin slaves taking their enemies with them!

Steed of Shadows only affects models on foot, thats why my Ninja hobbo is on foot with my arty and then rockets through the air into any mage or small skirmish squads that get within 20" :cheers

Do you know i never knew that but have only used hobbo hero on foot so it never came up in game (Its a GW thing);),so in higher point games my second hobbo hero on wolf cant be steed of shadows glad i found out before embarressment:rolleyes:

Another thought is to load up on a ton of dispel scrolls. Its not like our sorcerors have a whole lot to choose from anyways in terms of magical items.
