No, I’m not accusing anyone of failing to do so. I’m just curious as to how people are doing this. I’m also trying to encourage this ‘activism’.
How have I: I’ve been taking them to tournaments of all shapes and sizes, including several larger ones. I will be taking them to the next Adepticon if I can make it as well. This includes tournaments at the Chicago Battle Bunker.
Having started a gaming group in my area, I’ve got them thoroughly expoded to Chaos Dwarfs and they accept them as any other army. (Even won Best Overall once!)
I’ve gotten a new GW store to allow Chaos Dwarfs in their tournaments, and they always get a kick out of it.
I talk about them when I’m not playing them, which really catches peoples interest. I can even get 40k players interested.
I promote this site.
Sadly I can’t claim I took my Chaos Dwarfs to games day as it looks like I won’t be able to make it… but I’ll still see if there is interest in some folks going.
Well since i dont live near any GW stores or tournaments of any kind theres not much i can do at the moment. The only thing i do is to use the same sig on every forum, which is a link back to here. But when i move to edinburgh next year (hopefully) ill only be about 10 min from a games workshop.
Well me and my friends wash cars in are swim suits to promote the cd !!

Interesting, it looks like my truck has massive amounts of dirt in very hard to wash places... could take hours to fully clean... ;)
Back OT- the single biggest thing we can do is: just what we are doing making sure we keep the presence of CDs out there. Which reminds me, we need a new podcast.
I bring my rag-tag halfway finished CD army to my local gaming place(they raise some eyebrows, especially with the younger crowd), and I subtly manipulate the populace of warhammer-empire.com to do the bidding of Hashut.
Ironicaly the greatest thing I do is being me, The 7 foot tall player of chaos dwarves. I have a big curly beard and still looking for that insanely big hat to finnish of the look and the ammount of concrete and steel I work with im sure my feet are already turning to stone.
I took my CDs to various tournaments in 2007/8. Currently planning a revamp of my army, with new sculpts, with which to storm more tournies in the future Nominated for best army in every tournie they entered :cheers
Maintaining a visible presence for CDs in all areas of the hobby is the way forward imo.
I seem to be the only person in my city who plays them, so they usually draw some interest when they appear.

Well... perhaps I painting inside of places publics, as in a city hall, the press and TV to echo and they search in internet and the public knowledge about the existence of Chaos Dwarfs.
I’m going against the “Why? they’re rubbish” attitude of my gaming group and starting a chaos dwarf army. And I’m going to tell them I’m doing a “Secret army” which will get them interested. And i might make a hat. :hat
