So basically in a shoe string you could see about £700 for ONE great sculpt by the artists then another say for arguments sake £100 to produce the first prototype followed if you venture a cheaper way and get the prototypes cast in a way white metsl could be used to make the SINGLE miniature £150 as a rough figure going on the numbers I have been given by contract casters to make some of my own sculpts in metal and using some info from this thread before you even make the first pour in white metal. Not to mention £100 - £500 as a point of fact and need for solid concept art form someone who can bring that vision to light. Don’t forget that’s each troop type and variant.

Well 700 pounds would get you a very good character sculpt by one of the top guns in the biz. I have lots of contacts which I can ask for quotes ‘IF’ I have good concept art to show. Maybe if one of the talented members here can do some concept art in return for some minis and for the eternal gratitude of this community you’d save some cash on that. Also it might be a good idea to launch a Kickstarter (in case not everyone know what Kickstarter is, it’s a funding platform where you can back projects you like in return for goodies etc; http://www.kickstarter.com/ ) It would be a great way to fund things and the excess money it ‘could’ make would go into making more minis.
I would be careful regarding some ip rights here and there but avoiding GW names and such we would be fine. I’m interested in helping start this all up and/or guiding others since it’s not my original idea and I don’t want to steal anyone’s thunder. :hat off
I do have some ideas for the Hobgoblin warriors, multi part might be a good idea so you can have variants etc.
Anyhoo, anyone can pm me with questions about commissioning sculpters, the casting process etc, etc or ask me here.
beefcake:
Definately multipart. Then you would only need a few beginning sculpts and you have a horde of differently posed models. (Why do I need to say what everyone already knows?)
