The 24-25th I’ll go to a tournament (50 players) so I have a job for u, instead of posting a list getting critic I ask u to make a list for me, so if u have the time give you bit.

Tournament rules:

“edit”

2 for one special count as 1 special (so 4 bolt trowers)

i have asked in the tournement forum about the hobgoblin and dwarf and the reply : max 4 is only for non infantery e.g. max 4 units of silver helms.

Max 10 power dices

Max 10 dispel dices first scroll count as 1 DD, 2th and 3th. count as 2 DD

Max 4 of same core

Max 2 of same characters ( BsB don’t count)

Max 2 characters on flying mounts

Max 2 of same special��

Max 1 of same rare��

no DOW or Regiments of Renown

Do the Bolt Throwers count as one Special for two choices as in the army list? In other words, can you field four Bolt Throwers?

Also, do Hobgoblins on Wolves count the same as Hobgoblins on foot for purposes of the “max 4 of same core” rule?

well it doesnt really matter about CDs… he doesnt have enought to make up a decent 4th unit… let alone a 5th…
but with hobgoblins it is a pertintnet question… as i see 5 units here (wolfboyz included)…
and i would field them all…

this assumes you can field the 5 hobbie units… if not drop a bowmen unit…
and maybe make that Hobbie hero a level 2 Sorceror instead for magic dominance…
if you cannot field the 4 BTs you have to swap 2 for a death rocket…
you’ll have to dig for the points… maybe make the sneaky git unit 24 (6X4) instead of (6x5)…

I agree. One more Sorcerer should average you one magic missle per turn that goes undispelled. I would take either Fire or Metal for the Sorcerer-Lord and Death for the Sorcerers. Definitely Death for the Sorcerers. A level 2 can cast any spell generated, the default spell is good, and all of the spells are useful. All you really need out of these guys, though is the default, and one of them should take it. Optimal casting is 2 dice, 2 dice, 3 dice, 3 dice. You want to have two magic missles with casting value 5 or less. This set up will enhance your firebase in a consistent manner. :hashut

I think the list look good i’ll just find points to: a war banner and make the hobgob hero a BC hero with black hammer (because that will give a CC option against a TK hero and a treemen)

death?.. no i would not choose death at a tourney… ever…
with a spell that does not harm ITP… and another that causes fear…
its quite obvious that qwe50 is terribly paranoid about TK and wood spirits…
so in this enviroment definietly not…

give me shadow on my level 4… new pit of shades is awesome…
unseen lurker has always been gold for a dwarf army…
steed of shadows escape pod if the kitchen gets too hot…
and look a fear causing spell aswell…

i find fire best on level 2’s… realtively cheap spells…
and these guyz often have to dig in CC… where the sword is excellent…

metal is best for caddies… theres a lot of noise about spirit of the forge…
but rule of burning iron remains the best spell… and the rest of the lore is junk…

qwe50… i dunno that hobbie hero is pretty hitty 3 S5 attacks… and a S3…
and is much 'arder with his 2+ armor save… 'ard enough to act alone if it should the oppurtunity present itself…
and he costs half as much…

warbanner? for the BCs?..
pointz could be found in the removal of the offending hobbie unit…
or the sneaky git suggestion…

Yes! :hashut

I like that army. That gives you a solid hammer unit with the Bull Centaurs, and good magic defense with 5 Dispel Dice and 2 Scrolls. Though, I almost wonder if 4 Dice and 3 Scrolls might not be better. You probably know much better than I the environment you will be playing in.

As for Magic Lores, again, I'm pretty sure you know your way around the magic phase since you entering such a large tournament. Don't most allow you to switch Lores between games?

Anyway, good luck. I'd love to hear any report you can give us. It is always interesting to see the kind of competition you are up against.

I would give the war banner to one of the warrior units (and put the BSB in too) for high CR

another thing with the hob/BD hero is that i can give the sword of might to the BSB

ill take shadow i unless i am up against loads of armour e.g. brets cav HE, panzer there ill take metal
