I vaguely remember the Wall coming down. We had a German exchange student living with us at the time.
I remember DOS… I remember installing X-wing (and it expansions) and TIE Fighter on DOS while my parents stood by and watched.
I remember Windows 3.1
I remember the First Gulf War.
I remember the 1992 election.
I remember when Windows 95 was new and exciting (AKA: I remember the
introduction of the start menu).
I remember the Branco chase.
Columbine happened when I was in 8th grade.
I remember Janesville’s first Lockdown drill in the schools.
I remember using big floppy disks to play games on Apple II’s in elementary school.
I remember when the Apple II’s were replaced.
I remember when we still had to use card catalogs for books!
I remember when a phone in a car was for the wealthy.
I remember when there was no history channel.
I remember when the history channel had shows on history!
Two years before 9/11 I came home from Switzerland with a couple Swiss Army Knives… and I had them in my pocket and nobody blinked.
I remember The Real Ghostbusters (I grew up with that!)
I remember when Super Nintendo came out.
I remember when the cool kids had a Nintendo.
I remember when Sega Genesis was cool.
I remember the first “Land Before Time” (I hear they’re on what… 13 these days?!)

When I was in 4th or 5th grade… they had these ‘snap’ toys. Basically bands that were rigid until you snapped them… then they wrapped up… I remember those getting banned from school.
I remember Beavis and Butthead when they were on TV.
I remember when MTV had music videos (I blame having teenage/college age siblings when I was in elementary school).

I remember when Warhammer was an English only game not translated in other languages! (Younger Italian players always wonder why I continue to use English words for a game translated in Italian… like Weapon skill instead of Abilità di Combattimento, or BS against… I do not even know how they say in Italian BS… )
but, over everything, I PROUDLY REMEMBER WHEN CHAOS DWARFS WERE A LEGAL ARMY SUPPORTED WITH A FULL RANGE BY GW! Oh, yeah! 
And yes, my 22 years old girlfriend always reminds me I’m a old man…

I’ve never let the age thing get in my way… I’m as old as I am, no matter what that is, and if someone thinks it’s old, cool. If someone thinks it’s young, I’m ok with that too.
I’ve never really understood those that have a hard time accepting who/what (etc) they are… Be ok with yourself and disregard the static from the rest…

I remember in middle school… when we watched the documentaries from the 70s… we’d have a projector and you’d have to time the audio cassette to match the footage in timing.
I also remember how many problems that caused.

Documentaries from the '70’s? HA! HA! In my schools in the 1980’s, they were still showing science films from the 1950’s and 1960’s. Some in B&W…they also showed the sex ed movies that were filmed in the earily 1970’s with the silly wallpapers in the houses.

The documentaries we had could have been from the 60’s too… 50’s I’m not sure. They were older though.
Some had to be 70’s… with the goofy bowl cuts… that unusual color spectrum 70’s stuff seems to have… ugh…
