So, post Photobucket era I guess Imgur is the way to go. Ive ran into some annoying stuff though. This is via their iPhone app, is there a way to upload to a existing directory? And is there a way to set a default size for all your uploads?

Carcearion:

I have only just begun using Imgur as well, curious if any more exspirenced users have anything for us on on this one.

No experience with Imgur as an app, but there are some annoying sides to it on a PC. E.g. you can’t create subalbums for easy overview and for some glitchy reason you have to open every image you want to link in a new tab, and copy that tab’s url code. Just using the code strip given for each picture in their albums doesn’t work, for whatever reason.

Do you mean the code doesnt work for embedding? I had that issue as well but its an easy fix. When the box with the code pops up click on the arrow, then Get Share Links and copy the BBCode from the pop up box, although the only difference in the link is the address becomes http://i.imgur instead or just http://imgur.com

@tjub: Do you mean file size or the ability to resize the actual image as it uploads? For file size theres a high quality option you can turn on in settings but as far as i can tell every photo will upload the same size. You can edit photos individually to resize/crop them but i dont think theres an option to do this automatically for every new image you upload. Im sure they will have an influx of new users so they might add some new features if they are requested.

Generally ive found imgur a hell of a lot easier to use than photobucket. Images upload in seconds and you dont have to open each image separately to get its sharing links. Its just so much more user friendly

Thanks for the advice, Pyro Stick!
