We walk in the dark places no others will enter.
We stand on the bridge and no-one may pass.
We live for the One, we die for the One.

BilboBaggins:

Lots of B5 references.

The name I use on Yahoo Forums is BilboFOL (FOL stands for Forces of Light).

One of my favorite lines from from Delenn.

"Only one human captain has ever survived battle with a Minbari Fleet. He is behind me. You are in front of me. If you value your lives, be somewhere else!"

I haven’t tried playing Warhammer in metric. We did think about playing Lord of the Rings in a tournament but in testing some players had trouble remembering 2cm for each inch.

GRNDL:

Its, er, closer to 2.5 cm per inch… 2.54 to be precise.

In the Lord of the Ring rulebook it stated you could play in inches or centimeters. It stated 2cm for each inch (I think it was to make it easier to follow).

  1. The Italians aren;t Anglo-Saxon :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

    2) Mainland Europe uses metric almost everywhere.

    3) If you can;t find one, use the metric and remember that an inch is two centimetres and a half.

    4) Yes they’re the same

4)... ahem.. !! 1 inch = 2.54 cm.. and while that's not much difference for an inch, but at 12 inches we are at 30.48 cm.. nearly .5 cm over the 30cm you would have if using 2.5cm.. Not much again, but every foot you lose .5 cm.. At 10ft you have lost 5cm.. etc etc..

Sorry, I have to use both when I do certain buildings and civil engineering and yes, in my industy, .04 cm or the tolerance of that is unacceptable rounding..

good day... /grin

THT, I’m aware of that,b ut for the purposes of wargaming on a normal scale, I think you’ll agree it’s acceptable  I would;ve been more accurate otherwise :stuck_out_tongue:
