[Archive] Introductions: New members post here!

Ami Fluff:

Hello, hello. My name is Ami, and I’m rather new here. ^^

Anyway, I’ll cut to the chase. I love the look and the feel of the big-hat chaos dwarves, but the problem is that I seem to have a hard time locating the minis, and my sculpting skills are sub-par. I was wondering is there any place that an enterprising, young CD-Generaless, could get some of 'em? ^

TheVoice:

Ebay, I collected my entire army from there (with the exception of what’s on the Online Store). The only limitation I’ve had is that I’ve not been able to get hold of any of the old metal hobgoblins, so my army cannot be completed until I have. Otherwise, it’s fine.

Kera foehunter:

well welcome to the site Ami . well big hat are hard to find. go to the market place on the site and look around or go to the conversion part and look thew it there are lots of idea there but becarefull you may never leve

Karak:

Hi, Im karak. Ive played warhammer for about 5 years, started with lizardmen, then moved up to woodelves. I have always had trouble picking a army, but after the new daemons came out, Ive finally been able to stick to a army. I am now working on a 2000 point chaos dwarf army

Ami Fluff:

Thank you very much everyone. ^^

The first time I’ve ever seen a chaos dwarf, was in a really old white dwarf a friend of mine had, and they were of the big hat sort, so to me, those always seem… I dunno, right? ^

Sounds great Karak, welcome to you! Keep us updated with posts and pics, perhaps you could start up an army blog here on the forums!

Cheers

Hashut’s Blessing:

Welcome Ami. 5th girl. (P.S. Kera was trapped and it was rum, not water she was after. Ruddy local pirate :stuck_out_tongue: ) As others have suggested, try eBay (where I have got most of mine from) and/or go to the conversion section for ideas. Learning to convert and sculpt is simple enough (well, I struggle with sculpting :stuck_out_tongue: ). Just ask for help!

Karak, welcome also. Glad ya managed to settle on an army, especially one as great as this one with us lot to help ya out  As for asking for help, it goes to you too…

Ami Fluff:

Thank you everyone.

I keep trying to grow a curly beard to demonstrate my true alligience to Hashut, great and terrible father of darkness, but I don’t seem to have any luck on that front. XD

Hashut’s Blessing:

The lasses needn’t grow beards. Tell ya what, Ami. I’ll grow one for you, eh?

welcome Karak! I’m glad new members are posting here again! I think you’ll find a lot in common with many people here who have moved through various armies. enjoy your stay and as Vex said, post some pics as you move through your army

Karak:

well, Ill try my best to post pictures. In about a week, I will hopefully find out how to post them, and have my first conversion posted, which will look terrable, but it is a start

Hashut’s Blessing:

To post them, take the pictures, upload them to a file-sharing website (such as photobucket) and then copy the image link into your post (or type [ IMG ]“file link here”

Karak:

sorry, but I didnt really understand what you said… I dont usually post pictures from my computer, and dont really know any of that stuff.

Hashut’s Blessing:

When you need help, I’ll talk you through it.

Karak:

ok, thanks

Hashut’s Blessing:

Not a problem, I’m here to help
