I’ve been away for a few years due to work obligations, this is my first post in a longgggg time.
So I found this during a late-night Ebay browsing session , a Polish guy kit-bashed it together very nicely from a few G.W & F.W kits I believe. He named it wrong in the listing title, calling it a ‘Kadai’. In the end I caved in and bought it, it was about $200, the most I’ve ever spent on a single model. Nobody else bid on it and the listing ended at 7am so I felt like maybe if he had named it correctly and listed it to finish on a Sunday evening it could have possibly gone for more, so I convinced myself in some twisted way I was getting a good deal!
I’ve thought about how much this would cost to make buying the stuff new from legitimate outlets and the price still seems good for that cost, which points me to wonder if the pieces are Chinese copies or something, which he has then recast himself with added sculpting on. This seems the most logical explanation.
It will arrive in a couple days but for now heres the original ebay posting and pics
"Model has been professionally converted. During production uses a lot of expensive parts, among other things, Forge World Bloodthirster as a base, Decimator, Bull Centaurs, Infernal Guards and td
I own a lot of work, during which changed more than 50% of the base model
The model is really big, please see photo 1
materials: resin, greenstuff, Mr. Surfacer
Sold in parts, not glued and not painted."
It has a huge gap on its back where the wings should go , so not sure what I will do about that yet. Will post some clearer pics when it arrives.
that is pretty cool. I dont think $200 is bad really, Im not up to date with forgeworld prices but I imagine the bloodthirster itself costs nearly that anyway.
