[Archive] LFHelp n Link for Magic

Loidrial:

This week I will play with friends, Lizards and Wood Elves.

On the Tamurkhan book there is the lore of Hashut, but dwarves can use metal fire and death too. Right?

Does anyone have a link where I can see the spells, and everything about the lores?

It seems I cant find it.

And wich is “the best” of them and why?

Bloodbeard:

Rulebook or battle magic cards. Cards are great and can be yours for ca 10,.

Rules on the web would be pirate copying.

Here’s a good rundown of spells and lores:The Hoodling's Hole: Lores of Magic

really? why cant the rules be online? there is the wiki page with all the common items for example, cant be the same with magic?
I always played skaven and their magic was on the book, but now it is different.
I will see then what i can find.

In the end, what was the best as lore for CD between the 4 and why?

A link? Please consult your rulebook.

And you may take a look into The Daemonsmith's Handbook The Daemonsmith's Handbook - Sorcerer-Prophets and Daemonsmith-Sorcerers

Herby
I dont have any book, I havent restarted to play WHBF yet, and I wont buy any book with the 9th ed coming out in may.

TheHoodedMan:

There is no simple advice on that. It depends on your list and the opponent. Hashut is very flexible, but only a sorcerer-prophet can take it.

A personal remark: I strongly recommend to lend or buy a 8th edition rulebook before playing. I got me a hardcover book for 20 EUR + postage.

There is no use if in few months a new Ed will come out.
I can still play to games academy or GW here in my area with referees so I dont mind at all.
Only thing I need to know the spells I can choose from.

MadHatter:

Generally you can skip lore of fire, lore of metal signature for the lvl 1’s and Hashut or Death for the Sorcerer-Prophets is the way to go imho and I personally prefer Hashut. Ashstorm is your no. 1 priority and second is burning wrath. Get the prophet flying with an arabyan carpet or a bale taurus.

Lore of Death only becomes a good alternative if you take Hellcannons.

I already have at home 2 hellcannons, so eventually that with Death?
What do you mean with "skip the signature for lvl1"? how many spells there are now? not 6 anymore?
For now we will play small matches, 1k pts so I will have only 1 daemonsmith.
What for him?

IF anyone can send me some PM with the links/pdf or whatever I will send some slaves as reward.

Yodrin:

I really like Hashut, but Death is always good. Its a matter of play style I guess…

sam585:

If taking only daemonsmiths, I would run both metal.

If fighting anything with high armor/ or monsters with scaley skin- give both searing doom and preferably an augment or final transmutation

Anything without armor, take the other spells, preferably final transmutation

If taking a Sorcerer Prophet- make him fly, and go for hashut

Geist:

Foot prophet and he does metal. I almost always run metal just because it is so damn useful.
