[Archive] Mantic Great Winged Halfbreed

Abecedar:

Hey there.   I got the Winged halfbreed as a present and how the head is supposed to sit has got me stumped.   None of the pictures I’ve been able to find shoe it from the rear angles and the neck fitting doesn’t have a matching hole for the abyssal head.

These first pic shows how big the gap is from behind and the second how it looks from the side with the abyssal head positioned down further. I think this is how it does go.

And this is with the head positioned up the sit more on the top of the neck

Here is the link to the Mantic site

Abecedar:

So basically I have some idea what to do with it.   Does anyone have one assembled and could take pics of it for me?
The mantic site does show the head positioned low, but no shots from behind to show what changes they’ve done there if any, like cutting the neck stalk etc.

Abecedar:

No ideas so far?

Am back home and tried looking at all the angles again.

Maybe it is just trimming the connection piece and a bit off the neck?

Herby:

Hi Abecedar!

I don’t have this beast. I just did a quick google search.
Found this two pics. Maybe they could help.

And there’s this viedo KINGS OF WAR SUPREME IRON CASTER ON GREAT WINGED HALFBREED #‎directosforjaydesvantv - YouTube this should help.

Abecedar:

Thanks Herby. I’m not one to dig through YouTube much but, the video was the best help. The spanish dude only trimmed off the neck connector ‘peg’. So I’ve done that. Still not quite sure about how it will sit, probably just my insecurities

Geist:

Putty is your friend!!!

Abecedar:

Yep, I think it definitely will be with this one.

In the Spanish guys video he mixes tissue paper and PVA glue and uses that to fill the big gaps.

I think I’ll give it a try and see how it works.
