I almost spat out my mead when I read someone talking about our ancient traditions as "wiccan". (Though I have a sneaking suspicion that "ancient" really means it was invented during 19th century Romantic era when a lot of "ancient" customs were "rediscovered").

In my part of the world we have (and had, I don't know who was playing with fire but I could hardly sleep from the smell of smoke) bonfires the day before May 1st (which is a holiday that the social democrat movement managed to introduce).
