Galladorn:

Stunning work. Absolutely Stunning!

Loving your work! How did you do paint the bases may I ask?

Yep…these officially kick ass…very nice models and extremely well painted. Makes we want to play historical war games…but no one around here wants to join me…:~

Wow. Thanks for all the compliments guys. These models really intimidated me at first, and they are what I’ve wanted to do ever since I got into this hobby. I’ve just finally got around to doing them and the feeling that I could do what I wanted to do, justice.

The pictures seems to give all the details, textures and colours justice.

Can you please give us a quick breakdown of your photography setup? Backdrop, light positioning, brightness, camera settings?

GRNDL
I’ve a really simple set up that does not always give me good photos, especially of my higher end pieces, but for my gaming pieces and conversion work it works well. Its simply a piece of construction paper in a Robin’s Egg Blue color, with a pair of GE Revel 60 Watt bulbs in my desk lamps placed essentially spot lighting the minis. My camera is a very old Nikkon Coolpix 4300, 4 mega pixel, with a great macro setting allowing me to take very good closeups. Other than that, I really don’t know much about cameras.

I’m basically using all Vallejo Model colors. Bases are range of 3 browns, drybrushed, followed by a light drybrush of Vallejo Model Color Beige

Build it and they will come. Sometimes, someone needs to take the lead.

cornixt:

Very natural paint scheme, unusual to see something that looks so real,

Willmark:

To say these are impressive would be an understatement.

I finally got around to modeling up my Conquest Games unit. I feel I’m getting a bit better with the caparisons. Practice helps. Going to attempt to fix the flat foreheads also to make them look a bit more like the Perry horses.

And will do a couple riders, even though Conquest already has some in padded armor and cloth.

These also do not come with any couched lances, so I need to model that too, have some ideas. Got to get ready for Adepticon, again.

Castellan:

Really nice job with the greenstuff here.

PsychosisPC:

Recently added to the infantry, which now looks like this.

Right now its at 23 models. Its getting there. The banners are temporary for now, I plan to replace them in the future.

Thanks for all the kind words.

Well its taken awhile, but I finally got around painting up my converted knights of the Conquest Games plastic variety. Conversion work is similar to that done with the Perry Miniatures.

I thnk they turned out decent. Had fun converting them and the painting was fairly straight forward.

Below is the next pair of knights. The one on the left I have converted, giving him an axe from the Gripping Beast Plastic vikings. I think its a neat little conversion that works well.

I like this look and I look forward to seeing the long awaited infantry. More to follow…

Great stuff! Keep the pics coming!
