[Archive] Mighty Empires

wallacer:

I just noticed on Warseer that GW have released online the old Mighty Empires rules!

I’m really (pleasantly) surprised that they’ve done this as i’ve just finished scratch building my Mighty Empires set.

If anyone cares this is it:

Undeadninjas:

that looks pretty awesome! How did you make it?

torn:

they have had mighty empires rules online for a while - they arent the same as the released ones (like an unnoficial thing) but are still pretty cool.

Khan!:

Whoa that’s pretty cool of them! I actually still have the old boxed game somewhere in my basement. It was pretty cool, although extremely random and looooong… I don’t think I’ve ever finished a game. All that old school art and manic violence is sweet though, and it’s neat to get a glimpse of what first-second (?) edition warhammer was like - such as the character injury chart that can give you things like “-1 intelligence”.

Pyro Stick:

Old warhammer had crazy rules. I read through old WD and i dont understand a thing about whats going on.

although i think they made this one for warmaster it is very easily adapted.

The hexes are from Litko Aerosystems.
The rest of it is just moulded from clay and builders sealants.
The forests are just normal clump foliage you can get from any model shop.

Pyro Stick:

Why isnt there any buildings or settlements on it?

It's just the hexes themselves :D
I haven't gotten round to painting the settlements etc just yet.

Old Warhammer had excellent rules :D Only back then could you have a mighty 3000 pt army containing just about 50 models :D

Oh, how I miss those days. When wizards were level 25, and the entire chaos army got to roll for random mutations. Hmmm, I wonder if Ebay has the rulebook.....

Tallhat:

I know I do
