[Archive] Monster Hobbies Flooded out

Tarrakk Blackhand:

Hi everyone!

I have sad news.

My store, Monster Hobbies, was under 6+ feet of water in the High River flood. Perhaps some of you have seen the damage in your local news or TV.

My wife, two daughters and myself are safe with our in-laws in neighboring OKOTOKS, a city to the north of High River. We can’t go back home until the Canadian Army lets us back in.

Please have a look at our web site www.monster-hobbies.com for more details, and if you want to leave a donation for us, please click on the About US" section and look for the “donate” button there.

Thank you again!

Yodrin:

Thats sad news, but glad you and your family are safe.

cornixt:

Woah, I’d heard Calgary was under water, nothing else since, not seen much news in the last week. Hope you manage to get back on your feet okay.

Fuggit Khan:

I’m glad to see that the second pane window held out and saved your store from internal flooding…the window made a good save on it’s Dangerous Terrain test :hat off

Best wishes to you, family and store

Tarrakk Blackhand:

I finally found the Flood Relief pdf booklet for our businesses :

There’s going to be a lot of work and paperwork to keep track of and a lot of work to do. Not looking forward to this at all!

Blue in VT:

Wow, thats sad. Glad to hear you and your family is OK and I hope you can keep your spirit up until things start rolling again. Good luck with all the paperwork.

Tarrakk Blackhand:

Thank you everyone!

Today’s the day that they announce that we can return to our homes in the NW of High River. Still don’t know about returning to Down Town yet though.
