[Archive] Mordheim CD Warbands

Coppermind:

Hi,

I restarted with Mordheim some weeks ago and I am just converting a Chaos Dwarf warband. Unfortunately I dislike the slaver theme described in the border town burning setting, so I had to write some rules on my own, making a more warriorlike warband.

To keep the rules balanced, I simply modified the original Dwarf Treasure Hunters warband. In my opinion they became a bit weaker, but the fluff is worth that.

Here you can find the rules

What do you think about it?

Greetings,

Coppermind

Gar Shadowfame:

With deletion of beardlings, maby add hobgoblin henchmen?

Coppermind:

I had that in mind, too.

A second version with hobgoblins is online, please use the link above.

Willmark:

Any figures painted so far?

Coppermind:

None of them yet. I have to deal first with some green stuff. But I’m going to open a thread in the army blog section with WIP pictures and soon some painted ones.

PS: I use Confrontation 3 dwarfs of mid-nor

Coppermind:

Well, not much Mordheim for me recently, but I created a full document for the warband. Now you don’t have to take the rules for Orcs&Goblins and Dwarf Treasure Hunters additionally to the modifier.

Just click the link in my first post. I hope my english phrases aren’t that bad, if you find some wrong sentences, feel free to post it here

yep, nice list. I miss the Bull Centaures a little, not becuase these sacred creatures belong to Mordheim, but because they are simply cool :). When you have priest, you can also have BCs to protect them. And there was one thing in the Border Town Burning rules I realy like, the mechanical armour for the sorcerers. A little cooler than an ordinairy chaos armour and comes cool with the dark background of Mordheim.

So the only thing I would change is to replace the Priest with a BC and give the Daemonsmith some magic abilities, when you want a warrior list, or replace the smith with the BC for an oldschool list. But then you should change the background a little, becuase a priest shouldn’t serve a Disposer… when you can use magic as a CD, you are the freakin’ big cheese, the ultra awesome MAN! :hashut

Have you allready painted you warband? Mid-Nor dwarfs are pretty cool for their Voodoo look, but unfortunately they don’t really look good together with other miniatures so they don’t fit in the armies (there some exeptions), but to use them for Mordheim is a good idea, there you can have a full warband of them, they don’t have to fit with anything ^^ I have some Mid-Nor stuff, too but I don’t know what to do with them, exept just OWN them! ^^ I should think about making a Mordheim warband, thanks for the input

Well, show us you models!
