sirrah:
Apologies if this has already been posted, but a newly-born miniature company, Miniatures of the North, have put some WIP shots of helmeted “Fallen Dwarves” up on their blog, with big-hats on the way as well.
They honestly look a bit slender to me, but I feel all warm inside whenever I see indie sculptors doing CDs (which is frequently).
fairoaks024:
those are very nice, it’s long overdue that they finally saw production.

Something blow up to my mind.
The base on which the miniatures are standing seems to be a 25 mm base from 40k. If yes, don’t you think the mini looks a little bit tinny on the base ?
It looks like it would be “Lord Of The Ring” scale:

Alakihel
that's the size of figure the sculptor is deliberately aiming at,
he mentions it in the thread Pyro posted a link to,

They are meant to fit in with GW LoTR stuff aren’t they?
Admiral:
Yes, they are meant to fit in with Lotr miniatures, and will likely do a fine job at that. I wonder however if it would be possible sizewise to use them as a kind of youth militant organisation (think Hitler Jugend or Komsomol) for Warhammer Chaos Dwarfs…
Hashut’s Blessing:
remove the beards and use them as armoured hobgoblins if in doubt
