Iron Daemon War Engine, Hellbound - 310 Pts.

K’daii Destroyer - 325 Pts.

Hellcannon - 205 Pts.

Total: 2400

in my opinion the new restrictions on the chaos dwarfs by the ETC do not really change anything to the army. I am still undecided if this is good or bad, time will tell i guess.

my current list is this one above, so far the results are not bad 2W-1D-1L but it still needs to face itself against a greater variety of armies before i reach a conclusion.

any feedback/critic is encouraged and appreciated!!:hat off

Nurion:

I’m curious, how does the hobgoblins preform?

I’ve used them a couple of times, but they allways end up like 100 easy victorypoints for my opponent.

The iron daemon can be a real beast, but i’ve stopped using it because it’s very easy to counter. You opponent can just send in a small unit of cav and it will be stuck. Ofc, you have 3 khans so i suppose they will help your iron daemon arrive where you want it

Your BSB seems a little squishy with 3+5++. Maybe drop a wizard lvl on your lvl 2 and give your BSB mask of the furnace?

Depending on the next ETC draft you allso might have to change the pointcost of your hellcannon

Samanos:

personally I find the hobbos quite useful for taking out chaff and redirectors. usually I keep them close to my infernal guards unit so they don suffer animosity and tend to avoid combat so the times i have lost them in combat are few as far as I recall.

The iron demon is literary a beast as you say and yes he can be blocked quite easily, but usually I am able to counter that with khans, bows and fireballs. besides he usually tags along with the destroyer so the opponent has to choose what to redirect/shoot etc.

the bsb is indeed weak, i have lost him a couple of times in combat but i am not sure where to find points. i think i need the lvl 2 fire, a lvl 1 is too weak imo. the other obvious choice would be to throw out the hellbound from the iron demon but +1 T and +1W plus magical attacks is huge…
