You made some definite improvements there! You picked out a bunch of the details they didn’t and gave it an overall grittier feel. However I’d definitely get rid of the blood spatter. I’m not sure if it’s the mix of red blood combined with the red glow coming from the base or if it’s due to the blood combined with the new paintjob but the blood overwhelms the scene and makes the whole model look messy. Not messy-I-just-butchered-my enemy but messy-poor-paint-job kind of messy. Definitely get rid of the blood (so we can focus on the character of the model itself) and you’ll be on track because otherwise it looks pretty darn good!
I didnt do it… another studio is doing it (for free) and I will name them as soon as i make a video)
I want the blood. I love the excess so keep that in mind as its my own personal preference and was requested in the spec sheet. The new studio is doing this with the exact same spec sheet and pictures provided to BTP remember my spec sheet said “Blood and gore in excess of a Saw film” i know its silly or too much for some, but its want i want
It looks great! Keep the blood is my advice. You don’t often see such amount of grit, dirt or blood on miniatures since it’s hard to get right. I think it looks right, and it’s not too much. The gore makes the Bull Centaur look brutal to the core. Some splatter does an evil army good.
So, good repair, and kudos to the other studio doing it for free. I guess this will be a great advertising opportunity for them, showing the goodwill and skill to trump their BTP competitor.
Not enough models are covered in blood I think it should be marketed harder for games about war. I mean, we cant expect the front rank of models to be nice and clean after they get into CC. Or if you do a 3-5 round tournament, your models have been doing a lot of work, they should be messy. I do think you need some more chunky bits of flesh though. Also when compared to the BTP Bull Centaur you can really see the difference, it is as if the BTP Bullcentaur was only 50% completed whereas the repaint IS the finished project.
a few years back i made a slaanesh army… It was only allowed to be played after hours at GW… hehe every leader made hentai look tame
I love gore films etc. i mean i would have them all covered in intestines… but budget and time dont really allow that plus you cant expect the guys doing a free fix to spend 8 months modding

50%? No way. That thing is just primer, airbrush & (maybe) drybrush. Boy, that Centaur is so far away from finished that I really don't understand what the guys at BTP were thinking. Also, you asked for gore and didn't ask for lava, well, were's the blood on that thing? And you call that lava? They could have added a little bit of yellow at least. Boy, I'm still feeling sore for you... Calling BTP's lousy job a rip off is an understatement.
I don’t like the gore neither but remember that in one of your videos you asked BTP to include it because you like it. So is amazing, all the details painted.
And had the same issue you had with a slaanesh army XD
I actually really like the OSL. I get you didn’t ask for it, but I would say it’s the only well done thing on the (original) model. Looks much better now. It is a disgrace the way they have dealt with you. Glad it’s getting sorted.
Yes my CDs are psychotic… i always write a background before starting an army… mine enlisted Fimirs to do their … “thing” on random villages just because they think its more terrible
The Old OSL was not awful on the Bull centaurs… but when i see the OSL on the new model, I too like it.
the problem with the OSL is it isn’t more intense nr the light source. Its a constant all the way along so looks like red paint. The lava bases are the bit spoiling it for me now, the rest of the BC is an ok tabletop standard, wouldn’t call it display standard. Theres not enough breakup on the base just huge blocks of same tone colour. Magma isnt that red color either its orangey, they should take a look at real world examples. That looks more like a sea of blood. All in all though nice considering they are doing it for free and nothing to turn your nose up at =)

The consistent glow of the orange is what I like, it's like an ambient glow from the magma. Not the point is Tenebre didn't want it, so it shouldn't be one there, but I think it was nicely done. One thing I will have to say though is that the BC are MASSIVE. Compared to the old one. Seriously, I had no idea they were that big.
