Well, Saturday at noon a wonderful packaged showed up at my door step. Inside were two of the first metal master casts done by Griffin.
Cause yes, I did follow Maxxev’s little piece of advice and began asking around for an empty slot in some ones master mould.
And first one to ask was the passionate miniature collector Andrew Coleman. Andy runs the most wonderful miniature store - Four A Miniatures - with lots of awesome miniatures sculpted by such talented guys like Paul Muller, Kev Adams, Andrew Rae, Adam Gayford and many more - but I can’t imagine you don’t already know all about that. Some here, might also know Andy from CCM and other forums.
And I was lucky, as Andy actually could find room for it. And not, would he just cast me the miniatures I would need, he also offered me a chance of having it added to his fantastic miniature store. One of those offers you can’t refuse, right?
So, can’t come as a surprise that my GH14 entry has been put aside for a few days - while painting the little guy.
Skull?? Yes this is a slightly converted version. The mastering process showed us, that the standard top was a bit fragile - and breaks of very easily. This will somehow be fixed for the production mould, of course. But for this first version - its fixed with a Skull - and don’t actually look that bad.
Ain’t actually finished yet, some might say - and yes, you are right. Banner?? - he needs an impressive banner and a shield - but for this first version, I wanted to present him naked as he comes (and running out of white primer also played a small part ;))
Will go back doing that later on - probably not until after I’ve finished the GH14-entry.
And then, a little help, please
- cause this cool little guy needs a cool name. I’m so bad at this, so will ask for your help. So, let me here what you thing would be a suitable name for a old school Chaos Dwarf Standard Bearer. And I might even have a small ‘prize’ for the guy suggesting the coolest name.
Right now, I can’t promise you anything about it’s release. Andy’s business is a small one - and sales dictates, when the next production mould can be made. I hope it’ll be soon of course, but right now I can’t say. But will let you know, as soon as I know, of course.
Yay been waiting to see this little guy , he looks great Clam you must be so happy I will ahve to think up a cool name and post it here , cant htink of one at the mo but i am sure one will come to me
