Ok, I’ve finished this lot, and varnished it with the rest of the unit also. Thus the model are a bit shiny in the pictures. I’m glad because they were actually quite quick to paint, even if I passed some time to paint some of the details (namely the robes of the goblins)
Here is my latest project : a big boss on wyvern. I started to paint the skin on of the wyvern. This model is going to be painted over the course of march and april. Since I started it late in march and I’m going on holidays for 20 days in april it doesn’t let me much time to paint it, but I’ll try tp finish it nonetheless.
So the first pictures below are not very interesting, just the first layer of colour on the skin, and then the finished result (note that I didn’t paint the skin of the wings).
For the scale I was thinking painting them jade green. What colour do you think would be great? Let me know
Dude, this blog is awesome. Good job on the Squigs I loved em. And the Wyvern looks promising indeed!!! Actually, how did you smoothed the transition between green and brown on its belly?

Skink
Thanks mate
As for the transition between the green (Knarloc green) and the brown (tau sept ochre) I actually highlighted each of the colours towards the separation line. Then I made a "common" highlight (think it was tau sept ochre/bleached bone/knarloc in 1:4:1 and very watered down) right where the separation line is.
Hi, This is what I’ve been working on recently. First I reworked a bit the wyvern’s skin, more precisely the green side. I’ve redone the highlighting but this time mixing goblin green to the knarloc base. I think the result is better and more vibrant than with bleached bone. You can compare the two results by looking at the previous pictures of the wyvern. I have also started the scales, so far just a basecoat of dark brown (calthan brown + chaos black). I don’t know yet how I’m going to highlight them (colour and application) so any help or advice is most welcomed here.
Next is a stone troll, for which I chose the classic blue scheme. I’ve painted the skin and started to work on the scales. Mainly drybrush of mordian blue + astronomican grey in 2 steps. Than I finished the highlighting by painting pure astronomican grey on the edges of the scales. So far I’ve done only the right arm and the back. Still some work to do on the troll but it is almost finished. It’s a real blast to work on it !
I’ve done some more work on the wyvern. I’m stuck though on how to paint the wings. I paintbrushed some pictures with different colours to show you, maybe you’ll help me to choose the right scheme. What do you think?
