Grimstonefire:

I have to say, I was just thinking ‘hmm another thing I’ll never be interested in’ when I saw this on the GW page.

But then I read this…

“Over an hour of narrated background audio from a full cast of voice actors”… :o

That’s unexpected.

Btw, I know they are for ipads etc, but can these be downloaded to a pc?

I don't think there is a way. There may be an Android Emulator for PC... But I don't think there is an 'iBooks reader' app for PC.

I saw the price of some of the digital books, and nearly passed out. Crazy expensive!

Thommy H:

Only the iPad version has the narration and, once an update comes through from Apple, a pseudo-Army Builder. There is an Android/Kindle/eReader version that will work on a PC I believe, but that doesn’t have the fancy extras as the format doesn’t support it (it’s essentially just a PDF).

Vogon:

On Friday I got an email about a free space marine painting guide.

I attempted to down load it on my iPod but it wouldn’t let me citing the software it was written on and telling me it only works for iPad.

Fortunately my dad has an iPad and we happened to be meeting up that weekend so i persuaded him to down load it so I could have a look.

It was pretty good with high-res photos and the 360° view but the fact it only works on the iPad is a bit of a kicker for those of us who don’t have one.

Cheers

Willmark:

Ill have to download and give it a try.
