My order was dispatched on the 31st and arrived in Seattle yesterday, so five days. My biggest shock was that the models were loose in the plastic box, they rattled around like crazy - no foam or anything. So no surprise that several of the more delicate parts have snapped off. The worst part is that I’ve been forbidden to open the box and have a closer look because they have been wrapped up as a Valentines gift! A whole week of waiting to find out the full extent of the damage.
So is it normal for FW stuff to have no padding? For models like these there is a guarantee that something will break every time.
This is the first time Forge World have done a blister pack like this. Up until now they have been packaged in a bag and then shipped in a box with plenty of bubble wrap.
I got mine from Warhammer World and was glad of the chance to inspect them before purchase as a couple of the blisters had broken bits in. The rest of my purchases (IG + Command) were in the more usual bags. It will be interesting to see if they continue with the blisters from here on in.
Did a very thorough inspection of the models. It looks like only the two headpieces are damaged - one has the crescent snapped off, the other has one of the “spikes” snapped off at the base. I could glue them to repair but I’m not sure how well either will hold up since they are such tiny joins. A couple of the arms had already broken off their sprues but they are fine otherwise, and the magic staff is a bit warped but it sounds like I will be able to bend it back in some hot water. Looks like there aren’t as many swappable pieces as I thought, just a single spare right arm for one of them. The amount of fine detail in these models is amazing, it’s like they sculpted with a razor blade (and maybe they did). I’m afraid to paint them in case I cover up some of it!

I would suggest you ask for replacements but i still haven't received mine. Apparently there's been some trouble with the moulds so I'm still waiting

Yes, I was surprised at the level of detail too. Even priming them I'll need to be careful to only apply a minimal amount. The detail is similar to the inward-facing parts of the Infernal Guard shoulder guards... I just don't know how to make it raelly show up enough to make it noticeable. I tried some washes, but it was still too subtle!
Just got mine… they look even better “in the flesh” than in photos… the detail is incredible. I’d originally planned to sculpt a mask over the Castellan as I didn’t like his face, but now I’ve got the model, wow - no way am I hiding that work of art from the world.

Got mine as well, perfect condition. I ordered mine with another 30 Infernal Guard, Deathshrieker, Iron Deamon and Bale Taurus (i'm gonna convert it into a Destroyer) so it all came in a big box with bubble wrap which might have helped keep the Characters from bouncing around and breaking. Now I just have to decide whether I want the Daemonsmith to have the arm that's pointing or the arm holding the pipe. Tough decision.
