Hey guys just converted my first chaos dwarf using chaos warrior heads, weaps, and green stuffed the wild beard look! I Used the 7th ed. plastic dwarf bodies as a base. God… I wish my camera didnt suck or I would have posted a pick! Might try later lol… Also just to let ya know gut plates off iron guts make awsome Bucklers!
This was my first real conversion using green stuff other than filling in gaps! I already paint commisions for people, but It is no where as fun as sculpting lol!

a buckler is a very small shield which alows you to hold things in the same hand, they are the small shields on the dwarf thunderer sprue, a lot of people use them on the end of thier converted blunderbusses
ah i see . lokigod there are some cool conversions on ebay at the moment check them out the army of korak zorr or something . they are sprayed black so its hard to make out the detail but some of them are quite cool .
In real world history the buckler was used as a parrying device when rapiers became in vogue. Around the 1500-1600s. The reason was that armor was disappearing due to the rapid advances in firearms. Thus a light shield for light swords was feasible. More detail to it obviously but that is the main point.
