Once I finish with the Hobgoblin list, I think I want to move on to other Eastern armies that perhaps other posters would be interested in.
Here are the ideas I have for others to gauge what might take off.
Cathay
Lords
General - Can be mounted and can take up to 4 temple lion-dogs (ShiShi) as bodyguards
Grand Sorcerer - Can be mounted
Heroes
Captain - Can be mounted and can take up to 2 temple lion-dogs (ShiShi) as bodyguards
Sorcerer - Can be mounted
Core
Handgunners with light armor - Upgradable with long rifles
Pikemen with light armor
Soldiers with heavy armor swords and shields (possible a rule to make their swords a bit better, perhaps +1 I or something)
Special
Dragon Monks - Hard-hitting skirmishers with little to no armor
Cavarly with heavy armor (only cavarly in the army)
Cannons - a rule that makes cannons take up only 1/2 a special slot each.
Rare
? - A mobile flame-throwing war machine, not sure what the name will be.
