In an effort to get my stuff done, I’m a member of a paint pledge group. We make a pledge for painting every month, I we fail our pledge we owe a case a beer to the group. I haven’t lost a case of beer in months. … But I’m really finding it hard to get working on my hobgoblins and beer is too cheap in Denmark.
So it’s time to include CDO as well. The purpose of this thread is to:
Make yourself a monthly paint pledge and a worthy number of slaves should you fail. If you finish your pledge it’s great and you have more painted miniatures in your army. Should you fail however - you sacrifice the promised slaves to the other members of the group (those that have finished their pledge of cause). How you destribute your slaves is up to you. The sacrifice doesn’t have to be equal - if somebody had a particularly crazy pledge, they should of cause receive more slaves.
Actually you can pledge anything. Finish conversions, play a number of games, fix the chimney on the house etc.
In order to prove your pledge complete, your should upload proof as pictures, reports etc in your blogs or in this thread.

Great to have you aboard. … I’ll by hard pressed to get this done. But I would really like to get some hobgoblins done. I’ve decided that my “reward” for painting these will be allowing myself to build a construction crane for Deadzone and paint some Mercenaries for the game as well.
This is a pretty good idea honestly, especially with my complacent attitude. I want to take part but I am so torn on how I want to model everything for sure… Oh, I know! Rather than a specific conversion or paint job, I can finalize all of my lore and army history, theme, coloration, etc by making an army blog! That way I will be motivated by this and the army blog to keep up the hard work!

Of cause you can (and should) enter AC! If you win your own prize you can donate it again, keep it, give it to number 4 or perhaps give to a random entrant.
Having failed miserably in the realm of previous pledges, 2010 to 2012, and been thoroughly whipped for my hubris and ambition, I am finding it hard to commit. To paint more than I buy (2010 & 2011) - easy to do this year as I’m haven’t bought anything CD related (so far). To earn an army medal (2012) - Took me three years to take the photos and figure out an army list. and meanwhile the army had doubled. So this time I pledge - That by the first day of summer here withal, I will have finished painting those Dawi Zharr that on this day have been started to be painted and to date have so far remained unfinished.

My first day of Summer is the 01 September. They are already started to one degree or another so its not quite as ludicris as it sounds. Like if I was trying to do it by your summer deadline. Now that would be overly ambitious.

I hereby sacrifice 20 slaves to DAGabriel for his impressive work. 10 to Fuggit Khan and 10 to Ranaxom. 10 to be given to Miasma if he has managed his pledge, otherwise they well go to those who deserve it.
In june: My only pledge will be to build something for Artisan’s Contest. Yet I promise to build something big. Should I fail, I’ll sacrifice 30 slaves to those who deserve them more than myself.
