Hi All,

I tend to like the dark and blue-black beard look for my Chaos Dwarfs. How does one do that well? Grey with a bit of blue? Black, highlight with grey and then a blue wash?

Any help is appreciated.

I use the following:

Black > Dark Grey > Dark Wash

Thanks Discoking. That’s what I was going to try.

Does anyone have anything that might add a hint of blue? I thought about a blue wash, but wonder if anyone has tried it.

Yeh. I do. When first starting here I took a real liking to “Bassmans” blue beards The first link below.

All I do is use a couple of different shades and highlights of grey and the asurman blue wash but I don’t have any pic’s up yet

Yes! Those are awesome. I’ll have to try that. Wonder if I have enough blue wash left?

I just drybrush mine with a thick coat of Shadow Grey. Not sure if there’s an equivalent color in the new range or not, but it’s a really nice bluish grey.
