Fuggit Khan:
Normally I dislike undead armies. They are too cliche for my liking with atypical boring, muted bone and rusty metal schemes.
But not these! It’s a beautiful army with vibrant colors that brings to my mind the heraldry and pomp of the Brettonians. And the addition of the red and white poppies is brilliant.
Very very nice <3
Malorndk:
Amazing! Simply just amazing!!!

Yes, mantics Undead miniatures are great. I always found GWs ‘in undeath the skellies and their gear gets warped evil’ excuse weird.
This is a beautiful little force! The contrast between miniatures and bases is my favourite part. Life, flowers, lush undergrowth vs the dead and decayed.
… no, my favourite is the champion in the infantry unit who’s lost his head somewhere.
Jackswift:
On of the best renditions of an undead army that I have seen! Well painted and based, and your color choices work beautifully. As has already been stated, your use of color really makes the army stand out.
Pappa Midnight:
Thank you all for your comments.
When I put these together I wanted to make them look like a real living army that had been wiped out and raised from the dead. I didn’t want them to look like they had been dressed by a necromancer fashion designer with a bone fetish.
I’m pretty pleased with bases and am glad that most people see the “Life/Death” comparison I was going for.

TheHoodedMan:
This is a really good undead force, not simply drybrushed like most people (and I :-)) would do that. I especially like the basing including the flowers :-).
edit: Wait a moment…Most of them are Mantic?! Cool. Must take a closer look on these models. Are they difficult to assemble?
Pappa Midnight:
Thanks. Glad you like them.

Not at all. All of the infantry and ghouls are straight out of the box builds. The archers are all Mantic parts. The foot knights use some bits from Fireforge ( Teutonic Templar kights) and the cavalry has some Mantic bits mixed in with GW. Most of the Mantic skeletons are one piece body/head/shield with separate legs and weapon options ( although the command sprue has some variations). As they are hard plastic they are very easy to convert and glue together really well with plastic cement.
Definitely not as fiddly as some plastics I own.
