Grimstonefire:
Anyone have any ideas about whether Nagash and his minions would want to raise armies from here? It sounds like a good spot.
I freely admit I don’t know much about the fluff for tomb kings, and its been a long while since I read any fluff for VC, let alone for nagash.
I know about the Fortress/ruins of Vorag, but that sounded more like simply getting a forward base than building huge armies.
Is it a coincidence that it happens to be next to where he lives?
Thommy H:
The Fortress of Vorag was built by (funnily enough) Vorag, who was the first and only Ghoul King. As far as I know, he wasn’t allied with Nagash, but I get the impression that the proximity to Nagashizzar probably has some link to the amount of Ghouls in that area. Maybe it used to be some human nation, but Nagash’s power caused it to fall into anarchy and now all that’s left are Ghoul tribes.
Grimstonefire:
I see, so the chances are that it’s called the plain of bones because the ghouls scavenge and hunt the animals/ races that live there?
Thommy H:
No, I’m pretty sure it’s just a mass grave. They might be dragon bones? I’m not certain. I’m pretty sure Ghouls don’t hunt anything though - they’re scavengers. I don’t even know if there’s supposed to be Ghouls there any more (Vorag got killed, which is why his fortress is in ruins).

there no water !! a DESERT is bad on my skin
Baggronor:
The Plain of Bones is where Dragons went to die, and where Zombie Dragons are raised. According to the fluff, only the Necrarchs remained loyal to Nagash, so no, Vorag would not have been allied with him or his disciples. He united the ghoul tribes under Cripple Peak after Nagash was killed by Alcadizaar, but was killed before Nagash’s return some 600-odd years later.
