[Archive] Plastic Goblobber Project!

Golder Goldeater:

Have you heard the news? Someone is actually trying to make himself a Goblobber completely from scratch.(Wahahaha what an idiot! :stuck_out_tongue: :~ )

SO! Here it is. Hope you like it.:cheers

If you don’t like sth or have some suggestions for improvements I’ll be happy to hear them :hat off

The ammunition: I am pretty happy on how this turned out.A rather good substitute for the old netted goblin IMHO of course

And loaded Goblobber ready for firing!

:hat off Thank you and please leave a comment. :hat off

nitroglysarine:

inspired idea strapping one on.

awesome!!

Hazkar:

the gobbo looks great,pretty funny

the goblobber looks freaking cool

dncswlf:

wow… pretty close to the actual thing! love it… my only suggestion is: PAINT IT!

Fequiil:

this is a very good example about what all could be done with just a little bit of sprue, and imagination. (this sentence isn’t totally right…)
awesome!

tjub:

Looks really good!

Bassman:

Great design here. Me like it!

If I can give just a little suggestion: sharpen those metal parts’ edges. Now that green stuff is hardened it’s time to cut with a blade tool the edges of the metal parts in order to get a sharp edge. If you do so the metal plates will look less ā€œsoftā€ and more actual metal.

snowblizz:

I think that’s incredibly impressive. I’ve seen the real one often enough IRL so I know what I’m talking about.

No roses without thorns though. I’d check the model over for moldlines. The goblin ā€œammoā€ has a some eg. I’d also take a look at the ropes, I realise it’s probably a bit too late, but that’s what you get for showing pics after the GS has dried. My point, ah yes, the scoring of the ropes does not reach the bottom of the GS, which sort of breaks the illusion of it being rope. If you understand what I mean.

Obsidian:

Cool! Imaginative and well executed mate!

Golder Goldeater:

:)Thank you everyone! I am so glad you liked it!It took me a lot of time to go this far with the Goblobber and now I finally have my own!

Thanks for the comment:hat off

I have already shaved off some moldlines and sculpted the whole throwing arm to look like wood. However I don’t understand to which ropes are you referring to. The ones that keep the gobbo tied up or the ones that are actually a part of the Goblobber? Please tell me. I might be able to fix it that way.:yar–>:)

Skink:

Snowbliz is referring to the ones on top of the machine itself. When you creAted the lines you haven’t cut to the bottom of the gs breaking the illusion of a rope. Other than that the model is freakin awesome mate! Well done!

AH I see what you mean. Hopefully painting will fix that. If not I'll shhave 'em off and resculpt them.
Thanks for the comment by the way! :hat off

Anonymouse:

My gods, what an idiot to try it! Ha!

~

I mean… DANG! :o

Very well done, looks good (but not looking sharp yet: moar pointy bitz pleeze? :p)

Golder Goldeater
Yup, that's essentially the problem. It may be possible to fix it with sharp hobby knife and some very careful work.

To some degree it affects most of the ropes on the entire model, but the ones on top of the launcher are really obvious and would likely need attention beyond the paint.

Bolg:

@Golder Goldeater: you are my new hero!! what a brilliant conversion, and what a brilliant plan!

and now: start painting!!!

Dino:

Very awsome job. Has made me make up my own…Well kinda.

Golder Goldeater:

I finally finished molding it and even got some time to paint it!

SO HERE IS THE PAINTED PIECE!

GOBBO IN NETS! YES! I DID IT!

Amunition:

GOBLOBBER!

unfortunate gobbo:

crew:

This guy sculpt the ammunition. A rather hard job so let’s give 'im an applause :clapping:

And this one ties up the gobbos. Though he is taking a break now:

Tell me if you like it!

Kered:

Looks great, the base works really well particularly the miner on the rocks.

Hazkar:

nice one, like guy sitting on the gobbo

he deserves a break, tieing up gobbos is a pretty hard job

dncswlf:

Wow, super job, love it all painted up, the tied up gobbo is key!Ā Ā and the extra ammo is a nice touch… so many little details!! :hat off
