Grimstonefire:
Saying happy birthday to someone is always a good thing, if anyone is not sure how to find out this information, go to the main index page and scroll down to the bottom.
If it is anyones birthday today it will show there.
Something important to note is that if you actually want the person whose birthday it is to read it, you really should check the last time they visited if you don’t remember seeing them in a while.
To do this, click on the member name listed next to birthdays and look for ‘Last Visit’. If they have not visited the site in say the last 2 months, is it extremely unlikely they will ever see it because they will get no email notification, nothing to prompt them to come and see the site… In short, it would be a wasted effort to post a thread.
Hopefully the point of posting is to let them know you know it is their birthday, but if they haven’t looked at the site in the last 2 months, why not send them a pm? Or an email (if they have a link)? Either of these will actually get their attention.
We probably have members with birthdays every day of the year, so to avoid spamming with new threads for people who will never read them please bear this in mind.
