I think it has worked quite well. However, I’m thinking there MIGHT be a WEE bit too much purple. Not sure if red would work with it, but either the hat or scales should be a slightly different colour. I’d say probably use a darker purple on the hat, maybe.

I was going to try and get warlock purple to blend into liche purple on the hat but it didnt work out well and i didnt really know what i was doing so i made it all warlock purple. Next i will try blue, green, maybe yellow and black just because i said it wouldnt work.

@Kera: Its bestial brown over a scorced brown undercoat. Thats how all the brown on my models are done.

The purple looks great especially on the horns i think there is to much brown tho. A black hauberk or pouch maybe:hat off

I have just realised how many models i need to strip. At least 40 plastic cd’s, the lammasu and rider, maybe a few blunderbuss and about 10 metal cd’s. So im quite depressed now as i cant find anything to strip plastics with. But on the bright side i have worked out that i will have a 4000 point army when im done!!! Woooo!! Watch out wallacer. You’re not going to be the only one with that medal.

pyro, use simple green to strip plastics. not sure if it’s available overseas, or if there is a european equivelent, but simple green is the best.

I know its not much considering how long cdo was down (5 weeks?) but im pleased with how my hero/general on foot turned out. Obviously i still have the base, shield and banners to do but i think its complete apart from those things. I have been working on the hellcannon for a while but i couldn’t help gluing together what ive done so far just to see what its going to look like. It didnt go together as well as my first one did but the paint job is nicer. Then there is the Psychohobbit. I have both of the models that came in this Limited Edition set but this one fits in with a chaos dwarf army better. Its either going to be a slave master in a hobgoblin unit or an armoured sneaky git.

@Willmark: Im not sure what ill do with its base yet. It has a massive tag so right now it has to be on one of the large bases but all my other hobgoblins are on the small square bases.

As it’s seems to be a all 3ed’ish/4ed’ish army - you could find many 3ed models to fit in with it - like Khardang Bloodsucker, Belekhost Deathbringer, Ekalim The Mad and many more. But you’ll need a big wallet:) - it would make a nice pack of “berserkers”.
