[Archive] RE: Buying drill bits for pinning

Hashut’s Blessing:

I would’ve thought they’d sell them. Go to any hobby shop and ask them about it.

I have a feeling Sousonou might be in the same predicament soon as he actually USED a drill bit to pin the other day lol…

cornixt:

I’ve bought some separately, but that was in the UK in a model train shop.

superfella:

are you sure that GW only sell the drill bits with a pin vice?

im sure that they released a set of drill bits separately.

if i remember rightly, you got 5 of the large drill bits for about £7 or £8.

GRNDL:

You might want to try the local hardware store as well. There are some drill bit sets that come in very small sizes and usuallly made from a better quality metal as well, so they may last longer. I bought a full range set of drill bits (though, not for a hobby project, just for around the house stuff) and some of the bits are tiny. Who knows what you might find in your corner of the world?

Willmark:

Galeforce 9 is another solution as well and not as expensive as GW.

DarkWingDuck:

I recently had to buy some drill bits.

Amazon was the cheapest location I could find.

Look for 1/32" dremel tool bits

http://www.amazon.com/1-32-Drill-Bit-Set/dp/B0006O8S0O/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=miscellaneous&qid=1229965440&sr=8-3

They sell for 4.75 for a pack of 4 (but with 5 dollars shipping … so buy a couple).

Hope that helps,
