So with all the back and fourth regarding whether or not bull centaur renders were being released by forgeworld, and the uncertainty I had with going about building my own, I decided to take it upon myself to send a message to Mr. Buckroyd over at Warhammer Forge regarding their release. This was his response.
Hi there.
Although we would like to produce these models it will not happen for some time so we would suggest using alternative models for the time being.
Thanks
Tris Buckroyd
I find it strange that they say they would like to do them, but it’s almost as if they aren’t being allowed to.
Anyhow, just wanted to put that news out there, and hope I didn’t ruin anyone’s day. Now I’m off to convert mine up!

Thanks for the information. I think that Warhammer Forge is busy with working on monstrosities for the Monstrous Arcana book. With any luck they'll return to Chaos Dwarfs after all the big ones are made.
i guess if fw/wf said that they want to release all the models featured in monstrous arcana within a year and bcs are supposed to be in this tome then, if they stick to the plan, we will see them eventually. that said, i would prefer gw-plastics combined with one of those rumoured contingents, together with plastic warriors and hobgobs!
Actually he is right Thommy. I’ve been informed by a reliable source that Alan Merrett ordered Tony Cotrell to stop WF sculpting CD models and focus on other things. Presumably this included the WIP BC that Steve Whitehead is making.
Ok, we know for a fact that chaos dwarf sales are high, that means they are making money. It would stand to reason that they would continue to make models for the CD line to continue MAKING MONEY.
I’m sure they’d like to make models for everything ever mentioned in GW fluff, doesn’t mean their boss will let them. Probably just put on the backburner so they can get more monsters out for their new book.
Or maybe the conspiracy is that they have to wait until GW do their own BC models first…
The idea I have almost verbatim! I already have the pieces and everything to do eight of them. A bit expensive though at almost $50 a model, but worth it!!
I love converting and that's one of the big reason I am glad they gave us such a huge selection of units without models so we can build them ourselves!
This is sad news. While I already have some of the old big hat Bull Centaurs I was really looking forward to seeing what WF were going to do with them. And yes I could (and probably now will) convert my own my sculpting skills are not that good and it’s a shame that they’re not going to be available any time soon to be able to have a full coherent looking army.
