We seem to be getting a few spambots joining every now and then.
I forget exactly what Xander did to limit the impact of these, but what they are doing now is a little different to what they used to do.
Before you could instantly tell the spambots because they would start a thread selling something etc.
These days we are getting sneaky git spambots who post replies to threads that are a copy of an existing post. They include subtle sales stuff in their links.
So if you spot something you think could be a spambot report it (preferably using the Report Post button).
Depending on whether this gets any more serious the staff will need to try and find a permanent way around it.
Yup I noticed! Two of the b****** have been sent to Hell. (Well, reported to moderators).

As a tip, you’ll find that they resurrect very old threads. That’s how I spotted one or two, I was wondering “why is that thread coming up again”. Of course they invariably have a link in their sig. Though so do I nowadays.

I’ve also gotten spam emails. I converted and saved the messages as jpegs so members here can recognized these messages and delete them should them get spammed.
It amuses me that she claims she is fluent in English and is of "fair complexion"...

There's a lot of bullshit that can be crammed into one e-mail.
Unfortunately humans are far far stupider than one dare dream in ones blackest nightmares.
The amount of e-mail begging for money, trying to shift hidden finances from African dictators etc etc etc proves there's plenty of stupid left in people.
