I think i have the solution. 7 BC’s with full command and a Tauruk and giving them all additional hand weapons and shields, Using the shields out of combat, Ranked in 4
They all get 3 attacks with the additional hand weapons have 3 wounds and a 2+ save. I see the attraction looking at it now, This unit will smash rank and file, But at a price of almost 600 pts is it worth it?

gIL^
No, because they have a 3+ save in combat.
The shield only counts when not in combat.
So an additional WS4 S4 attack... Whoopee!
You may as well just give them Great Weapons.
I'm quite dissatisfied with the size of the models in relation to the statline.

It's like having a Destroyer now with S5 T4. Lol.
Discoking
Yes at 600 pts it's a bit meh.
Saying that Tauruks are good, Only if we could take them without a unit of BC.
Models look great and will definitely be adding some to my army. The shield looks small compared to the model but perhaps it is the angle of the photos.
The biggest problems are the rules for the models. 2 Strength 4 attacks are not enough. A minimum of 3 attacks whilst 4 attacks would be ideal. Also, replace the spear option with halberds for Strength 5 Attacks. (And as a side-note, the restriction on the Tauruk does not fit with direction of the 8th edition armybooks)
Even though I appreciate the models themselves, they still don’t fit my image of Chaos Dwarves. I like how dynamic they are and they truly look like a treat to paint up with all the different textures and shapes, but I like my dwarves (including centaur versions) to be dwarf-sized. Huge, monstrous, mutated nasties with bulking muscles may be cool, but they belong with (Warriors of) Chaos armies, not Dawi Zharr.
Pheew, that was just in time - there is an ebay-auction ending for several of the old bullcentaurs which I wanted to get. Glad that I’ve seen these pics now! I’m not sure about the weapons though - let’s see what we can work out.
Nice sculpt, indeed, but definitely not for this entry of the Tamurkhan book.
I appreciated that the old BC models could be played on 50x50: they were not too strong, so the small old models were almost ok on their relatively big bases.
Now, an old BC on this base will be ridiculous, and won’t make many damages.
And because of their size, everyone will be very afraid and shoot averything at 'em ^^
I think these models are making me playing the Ravening Horde list. Maybe a good thing…
I don’t like them. They look like Dragon Ogres with a bull lower half. The faces look like the Giant’s one and the upper half of the body completely lost the Dwarfish proportions. And like it has been said, 2 attacks on a 50X75 base:o???
And again, GW has beautiful minis of Chaos Lords with awesome shields and WF gives us a towering monstrosity (the size of a steam tank) wielding a Goblin shield??? …A DWARF(ish) WITHOUT ARMOR??? No sorry, gotta convert my own!
Im not a huge fan of these new models mostly because of the new big base and tiny statline and old models are now even less compatible, and also because they look like they run weird (woddling side to side)
I dont like them either, guess I will field 2 of the old classics on one of thosse humongos bases, just need to get 2 more to complete my unit of three then I guess.

Hi Skink!
Read the background and the rules of them in Tamurkhan again.
They are no longer just Chaos Dwarfs with bull lower body's.
It is the beastly factor what motivates them now.
Herby
Ok, I have the book and I know the background, but still they have to be recognizable as CD troops. These are too much like Dragon Ogres with bull lower halves. And again, they lost dwarfish proportions. They shoul be more bulky IMO. don't get me wrong, they are great sculpts I just can't see them fitting in a CD army.
