Hello everyone,
Here is my report from a 2500pt game i played with RH’s last night.
Opponent was using dark elves.
I have broken it down into bullet points for ease of reading.
2500 pts, End game result, a draw on Meeting Engagement.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
* Turn one, chaos dwarfs. Used a mistifying miasma to slow a Hydra to an 8 inch march thus saving me from its breath weapon. A lucky hobgob bolt thrower shot then took it down to 2 wounds.
This caused the blood forest it was in to scuttle away and hide behind a chapel in the middle of the board. It later moved again and tucked itself in between another forest and the chapel!
Dark elf turn one my lord on taurus was hit in the side with a Purple sun of Xereus thrown by a a level 4 caster on a manticore. In typical style he then turned to unfeeling crystal which really was a horrible start! Now he knows how the chaos dwarf sorcerors feel i guess.
This attack left the sorceress out of position however and my bull centaurs with great weapons capatilised on this performing a long and very lucky charge on her that saw me wound her manticore, win combat by one and drive her off the board!
Another lucky bolt thrower shot took down the Dark elf General, right off his chariot!
* My 40 Warriors with great weapons fighting as a horde killed 16-17 Executioners with almost no losses, apart from my BSB who was decapitated by a killing blow…i knew it was dangerous standing him up on that rock on his base 
62 Spearmen caught my blunderbuss in the flank with a good overun and kicked their asses without them getting to fire a shot in anger.
I then entered combat with said 62 spearmen and their master with crimson death with my GWeapon horde. They were also in horde and one of the biggest one to one unit combats i’ve ever been in in a game on fantasy in 15 yrs! Thanks to the mask of EEE! on my sorceror and pure dwarven stubbonness (and a timely miasma) i was able to beat them in combat every round for 5 rounds and eventually rout them! The death toll was merciless.
*All this time the last bull centaur is running all over the table attempting to escape the second hydra chasing him all over the table attempting to pin him and get his victory points!
All in all a very LONG game. i think it was about 5 hrs… but a lot of fun.
