Grimstonefire:
So all they needed to do was to say in Glottkin that Tamurkhan was likely to be the 4th wave of attack into the Empire.
I know there would be some tiny bits of work required to redo Tamurkhan to reflect that, but it wouldn’t have taken much work.
For the sake of one line in Glottkin it would have put everything into context for us.
Thommy H:
Tamurkhan’s invasion takes place 10 years before the End Times. It appears in some of the timelines and is referenced in Thanquol as something that happened in “recent memory”. So yeah, they could have, but it would only serve one minor purpose (implicitly include Chaos Dwarfs), and create a whole bunch of problems and inconsistencies.
Admiral:
Yes, and no one likes a retcon or messing with the timeline.
gIL^:
Or they could of just made Tamurkhan Glotkin, He’s much cooler anyway.
Glotkin sounds like a cartoon villian with a big nose. Tamurkhan was grown up and was a much better story, Excluding Chaos dwarfs.
Bronze Bull:
Could have seen more variation among the last Chaos hordes. All we got was “Awesome demon lord! And some weird gross daemons running amuck.”
Bloodbeard:
I think the worst part abput Glotkin is - The Glotkin is boring. Book and character is not that good. GLotkin is a character has never been mentioned before and suddently plays a part in the End Times. And they book focuss to much on The Glotkin, when there are so many named characters to tell stories about.
Tamurkhan the Maggot Lord could have achieved the same yes and he is a much deeper character. They wouldn’t have to change the book, but GW could just have had him launch a second war on the world.
