[Archive] So for my k'daii

Silver:

I’ve this Forgeworld Daemon prince, the one with the huge axe, of Khorne but that can be carved out for something more Hashut, like fire~ :3

But I’m wanting to go “centaur-like” with this guy and was wondering what could I do to make a … horse or bull body + extra legs at the back?

I looked at the Ogre Thundertusk/Stonehorn and found the body + back legs didn’t feel right, too hunched and low so I’m not sure what else beyond converting it myself!

Any ideas?

Here’s the model I mean:

Abecedar:

Just a few questions. …

Do you want rearing up or more upright?

(like a warhorse… or like the common shaggoth respectively)

Compared to the thundertusk is it a taller stance that you want or less chunky?

(more lean than bulky etc)

The raging Heroes manticore is canted rear-end higher and looks great. But is that what you envisage?

Is it a climbing pose what you would like, say over some terrain or maybe a leaping impression?

I have zero actual ideas for you having very limited access to non citadel models, but maybe your answers to my questions will help others help you. Envisaging what someone else wants is very hard

Silver:

I hadn’t thought about a special pose yet hah.

The Shaggoth’s pose is quite interesting, I guess a “lizard-esque” body could work.

JMR:

You could look at using toy bulls or other animals. Schleich is one of the companies that makes them, but there should be plenty of others.
