A few rules-questions have arisen during the games and I would be very thankful for any help and advice, would be especially cool with reference to pagenumbers Slaves will be awarded!
When firing the magmacannon, is the multiple wounds ruled out when firing on 1 wound models or does it kill 1-3 elves per unsaved wound?
My opponents are okay with it but I wonder, can I legally bring 500 LoA and 500 orcs and goblins as allies to a 1000 battle (regarding them as different armies with heroes, core and special)?
It’ll be something like a Black Orc Big Boss (joining the orc boys), Orc Boyz and Black Orcs. No shaman’s or unfluffy stuff, it’s a slavehorde and nothing else.
I’m more and more leaning towards migrating to ThommyH’s fantastic rulebook anyhow, but it would be very good to know anyhow since I need to be playing ‘legal’ lists with some of my future opponents…

Multiple wounds are roled after a model fails his armorsave. So you can't take out three times as many hobgoblins af the tamplate covers. A cannon does d6 wounds. Never seen that take out d6 models per rank.

Bloodbeard
Then we have played it correctly the last battles atleast, thanks alot and 5 slaves coming your way!
Don't rwally know anything about allies.
Bloodbeard
Then let's hope someone knows, I just bought 50 orcs :D
I agree at tournaments you probably would be allowed but in friendly games/campaigns with friends etc it shouldn’t be a problem.
Also rumour as it 9th Edition next year is making allies more legal - a friend of mine is making a goblins/skaven underground army in preparation. If those rumours are true, you army may even become legal at tournaments.
The rulebook states there are different kinds of allies. Where do we see what kind of alliances we can make with other races? If I want to bring in some black orcs and still use LoA?

I see the other Chaos-races go under destruction, so there's order, neutral and destruction and the orcs are destruction to so I guess it will follow the rules for friendly allies? I agree however, it should be that way but where is the info?
We can't expect GW to endorse a Forgeworld production into their already released rulebook. That is an unrealistic circumstance.
Malorndk
Why unrealistic? It's all the same company. Some of us have given them thousands of pounds in exchange for little resin models. Keeping the rules current as editions change seems like common courtesy to me.
Whether it will happen, well, that's a different question, but it's a perfectly realistic expectation.
As I said: It might happen in ninth edition, but not in eight. Changing an existing rulebook to incorporate a forgeworld book would be a first. They could errata it into the allies section i guys, but that would force them acknowledge an existing armybook they don’t sell, didn’t write and which have a completely different format

Wasn't that a very cool bloodbowl team? From the edition that had the polystyrene pitch.

Sorry for the OT, the team is called Underworld Skaven, Goblins and a Troll all with mutations on normal.
