What about a stone-turned sorcerer as some kind of army boosting rare choice, like a cauldron of blood or anvil of doom? I’m envisioning a stone sorcerer as an object of worship or veneration on some kind of mobile altar, surrounded by braziers and bull imagery and guarded by immortals or sorcerer apprentices or something. In game terms the aura of magical residue that sloughs off the statue perhaps makes Chaos Dwarf sorcerers slightly stronger, or encourages the army to fight harder or something. Maybe pulled by juggernauts!
I’d like to see astragoth as a combat monster the size of a space marine dreadnought, when the new book comes out. That would be awsome, although the model would be very expensive.
I think that mechanical spider legs would suit quite well like that lad from Morrowind. I couldn’t actually find a picture of him, but here’s a picture of their mechanical spider (except that it isn’t a spider, six legs 'n all)
First post from my Wii! Yey! It takes forever to type on it though…
Ha, yeah it’s a great novelty. I’ve been using my bro’s ps3 for youtube vids and such.
How about using a 100% petrified sorceror lord as an army battle standard? He’d be carried around by his kinsmen and kind of inspire them, rather than casting spells.

Like something to boost the stats of units within 12" or something? It could make them better at taking psychlogy tests. But since battle standards can be magic standards couldnt the sorceror still have some magical qualities? Like giving the units he is in a ward save or something?
Im not very keen on the spider idea. Spiders just sound too…wimpy. If they are going to ride a mechanical anything why dont they just ride a mechanical taurus?
A cool magic item (arcane, I’d bet) would be the finger of a sorcerer who has completely been transformed to stone, or some other trinket to suck power from!
