Mivrash Faz:
What do you guys think of the new StormVermin? Very 40k looking. I wonder if their will be some kind if fusion between the two game worlds after all? The one mini shown on the GW website looks like he’s holding an assault cannon.:sick

Bitterman:
I don’t know what they are, but they’re not Warhammer.
Skink:
So to me it's perfectly fine. The guy with the three ratling guns reming me of an old Wolfenstein boss.Oh my god! I had completely removed him from my memory!

The beginning to the end of our beloved fantasy. Oh sadness
:mask
snowblizz:
To a certain extent the models are good looking.
But the main problem is the steam punk. If I wanted Space Marines with tails I’d ****ing glue tails on Space Marines.
Mivrash Faz:
Oops, I meant Stormfiends:(
Stormfiends right?

Dînadan:
I think there are two main problems with these:
1) the paintjob; if the armour was painted to look like metal it would look a lot better.
and
2) they look too ‘sophisticated’; Skaven tech should look rickety and the top right one looks over armoured
Fortunately point 1 can be fixed just by using different paints…point 2 will require extensive conversion. In fact it would probably be better just to use regular rat ogres and slap on bits from Skaven weapon teams.

I dont think they will combine the games, they will just print the rules for fantasy and 40k in one book, so you get both rulesets when you buy it. They are kinda steampunky though for sure .

They are kinda steampunky though for sure .I dont think the games will merge, but with the models getting more futuristic I could the the potential for the two to be played together. I could see with the new "torn universe bubbles" they could somehow meet each other. I'm not saying it would be as competitive but I could see that potentially happening down the road. You never know.

Abecedar:
I can see the only games I will get to play, will be a case of “lets decide which edition (from 8th backwards) will we play” for memorys sake.
There hasn’t been one new WHFB player at our club for over two years now.
BABIS:
oh guys, have you seen the big brained rat on their back? O_o

Check GW presentation on this models or 360 view. One model got some wird creature on the backpack.
I think the models are interesting on them own, but they are too advanced for fantasy. Clan skryre is known for crazy inventions so the concept is ok, but they should get easy on the details.

Admiral:
The Lost and the Damned 40k players must rejoice at this. They’re cool but very sci-fi technological. Perfect for big Chaos mutants in the grim darkness of the far future. I’d love to have some for Dark Mechanicus, whenever I get around to make a little warband for them.
Of course, they could work for a Skryre Skaven army. With conversions they could make good, ordinary Rat Ogres.
On the other hand, the new Skaven Warlord and Grey Seer are very true to Warhammer Fantasy, so all is not lost and titanic in scale.

Im sure if you paint their armor in metal colors with rust and go for a rag tag look they will be just fine.
