[Archive] Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Minis?

Da Crusha:

Hey guys I have always been a fan of teenage mutant ninja turtles and I was wondering if anybody knows if there are any miniatures available. I have seen a couple of cool conversions online:

these conversions were made using rolljordan slann bits and kroot bits. the Eureka terrapin shell seems to be a good bit also.

Wow, Flipping sweet! I’d go for having a set of them if they were found! They’d be perfect for heroscape or the warengine! Anyone else play Heroscape… pretty cool system… love the variety in figures!

Nicodemus:

Haha… just awesome!!

I heard WotC has just announced that they’ll discontinued Heroscape… I’ve never played but it sounds like unfortunate news for the fans. Had a pretty darn good long run though as far as these things go!

Wow! blast from the past…I have the issues 2-6 of the TMNT comic book from wwaaaayyy back somewhere at my folks house…I had issue #1 but lent it to a “friend” who never returned it…:mad…its worth serious money these days.

Anyway can’t help with your figure but am interest to see what you find.

Cheers!

Yep, they did discontinue it, the last set came out Nov 16th.. and I can't find anywhere a complete listing of the released sets... the Wizards site just redirects you to Hasbro, which only lists through expansion 8... just before Wizards took over... The game does have quite a following, people making tons of custom stuff... as you can see from the TMNT fig above... simple system, but the variety is great... a nice cross between a board game and a table top miniatures game... oh well.. there's always ebay ;)

Hmmm… might need to wander down to “toys 'r us” to see what’s in the bargain bin…

Tarrakk Blackhand:

Awesome stuff!

Blue - was that the original Black and White comic?

Shakhorth:

Yep B&W...with blood flying and foot soldiers getting lopped in half...you know the way a ninja comic should be!

I was thinking about sculpting some turtle heads to better fit TMNTs. the open slann mouth is ok but I think it could be better.

do it up! :hat off

Da Crusha:

Hey guys good news I was at a con this weekend and I ended up finding these 2 ninja turtles! Its Michelangelo and Leonardo! only cost me $4
each.

The models were produced by Dark Horse Miniatures. I plan on casting them and converting a Donatello and Raphael.

dncswlf:

A little big… are they 54mm? either way for 4$ they are wicked cool!

Da Crusha:

probably closer to 60mm. but I love them. Ive been wanting some tmnt miniatures forever now!

Blue in VT:

:cheers Score! those look sweet…keep us posted on your progress.

Grimstonefire:

The packaging is a bit misleading as the red bandana looks more like raphael, but he’s got two swords… on both boxes.

Da Crusha:

yeah they are old school, I think back then they all had red bandannas.

Hi... Da Crusha
I din't know your age or income...
I bought three of the Dark horse TMNT back in the days...
(raphael hade sold out...)
Nowdays I build and paint bigger "GarageKits"... and just papaled $175 to a alias known as Devils Drifter... at "the clubhouse"
and that's for the last run of "The Way of the Sword" (Leo)

here's a link to Donatello... http://theclubhouse1.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=83023
