gashnag:
where do you get that lammasu
RichardC1967:
where do you get that lammasuI got mine from Bartertown,a Raging Heroes Manticore with a recast of the original Lammasu head sculpt before GW cried about it..they recast the head to look a bit different and are including it again when you buy the model, just be sure to ask for it.

Very nice Richard! What dwarf model is that? It looks real good on the Lammasu, just wondering who makes it?
Thanks for posting pictures of your projects.

It is from Avatars of War. I have the same one all painted and shiny.

nice work Richard, the dwarf goes well with the lammasu, a very dynamic model.

Its definitely not an original AOW Rune Priest:
It looks like a poor recast with a different helmet and staff.
RichardC1967:
I don't think its a recast,Its definetley all pewter, and the head of the staff has been exchanged with the chaos symbol from maybe the GW warriors sprue bits, the model was painted when I received it and I just spray painted it gray primer(guess thats why it looks a bit crappy).I cut the base tab off and molded a greenstuff seat on the back of the Lammasu and press fit the dwarf into it,he sits nicely on the back and I can also use him dismounted,(I thought about using some magnets to secure him ,but it was an afterthought)..

Ah if you primed over an old paintjob then that’s why it looks like a recast. I would have stripped it if i was going to repaint it. AOW models have such a high level of detail that its a shame to hide it.

In the UK we can use Nitromors or Dettol etc. I dont know what products you would use in the US but if you search the forums theres been discussions about it a few times before.

i've heard many american members of several gaming and modelling forums recommend something called 'simple green'Thanks, I'll look for some this week, its a general purpose cleaner product, a product called "Purple Power"(same thing as Simple Green) will also work and its less dangerous than brake fluid or Nail Polish remover.

Considering I bought it from Felix directly it is most certainly not a recast :) it was painted as Richard said and he primed over it.

Rich I recommend simple green if you soak the model in it for 8-24 hours and use a old toothbrush it should do the trick. You can buy it at Walmart
