I have a BfSP Troll, not using him anytime soon (and don’t use the trolls in my WHFB Night Gooblins which I’ve played over 3 past editions now!), still on the sprue. As to shields, I’ve found that using Thumb Tacks give a nice sized shield with a handy pin already attached and already a nice burnished bronze/gold colour. Maybe have a look at Thumb Tacks as a possibility especially as youc an still paint straight onto them no problems.
